- First, you have to create a digital "Moving Folder" on Drive or Dropbox- To save the pictures of your bills, important papers related to your move, & all the paper details which you need in hand always, etc.
- Schedule your move with moving company-Research the Best moving company with the better business & get recommendations from recently moved peoples. Get estimates in writing from at least three licensed moving companies. Confirm your moving company is licensed.
- Keep sell, give, or trash - Go through your home & decide which things you want to move, which are for sale, for donation, and for through away.
- Consider extra insurance coverage you may need for your move- Ask respective moving companies what insurance is included and check your homeowners' policy to see what it covers.
- Plan what will go accordingly with your move - which ones are suitable for moving place. For example, find out a suitable place for your furniture in your new home or flat or wherever you move.
- Organize all records- If you are moving to a new area, research banks, doctors, and schools. Gather all the proper paperwork you need to set up new accounts. If you have kids, then request a transcript from their current school to a new one.
- Request time off your work for moving day- If you are working then move on Friday or according to your off. So that you will get time to take a rest after your move.

- Make time for friends & neighbors before moving day- Squeeze in a few last memories at your current home by throwing a simple dinner party.
- Cancel all newspaper home delivery and set up delivery in your new neighborhood.
- Clean Old Home - Hire a cleaning company to do a quick clean after the movers leave or schedule a day that you will come back to clean before the new owners arrive.
- Dispose of Hazardous Materials - Dispose of all flammable items that can't be transported, including paint, chemicals, and aerosol cans.
